SheSkis is a both a social and a skier development program just for the Ladies. This is an all age, all abilities group that meets every Wednesday evening @ 6:00pm at Timber Ridge Resort from early Fall until the end of the winter season. Skiers of all ability levels are welcome! We begin in October with dryland training, and move on to skis once the snow has arrived. Instruction is provided, along with a variety of fun activities and social fun. Very informal... join in any time!
For more information on weekly happenings, please follow the SheSkis Facebook page at:
We all have a great deal of fun skiing together, yet being SAFE skiing together is truly of utmost importance. This Wed., 1/29, Brian Beauchamp from TART and someone from GT Metro will be sharing important safety information about using the VASA Trail system should an emergency situation occur, or should you come across an emergency while out on the trails.....we will learn what to do, how to react, whom to contact, all those things that we hope we never have to use, but need to know should something unforseen occur. This is not first aid training, but it is an action plan laid out for all of us who use the VASA Trails. Try your very best to be at Timber Ridge this week!
The plan is to ski from 6-7:00, or you can certainly start earlier for a longer ski, but be in the Lodge by 7:00. Brian will begin promptly at 7:00 and we'll plan to be on our way home by 8:00.
On another note, SheSkis is planning on offering a series of "Advanced Technique" sessions for those of you who want to take your already competent skiing skill level to greater heights. We have several PSIA certified instructors lined up to accommodate both classic and skate styles, but we won't implement this offering unless enough of you commit to doing the sessions. There will be a fee of $30/person for three Wednesday's in February. The sessions would be during the regular SheSkis time of 6-7:00 pm and would not meet the Wed. we do the Relays. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know between now and Friday, 1/31 if you are ready to take this plunge. Non refundable payment in full would be expected at the first session, 2/5.
Here's a great offer for you!! Pat Bearup has a set of used once Blitz small face flip up ski goggles, complete with several lenses and case. She is asking $95. Contact her at: email@example.com

Surprise in store for SheSkis this week as we meet at HICKORY HILLS with Todd Vigland rather than at TR....We'll gather in the Lodge a bit before 6:00 so Todd can go over the lay of the land and then we'll ski the Meadows area
Those who wish may want to go into the new Nordic Trails up in Hickory Hills after the introduction to the Meadows..this requires either a season pass or a daily pass, which you may purchase right in the Lodge
Bring some $$ for snacks/beverages in the Concession Stand that I hear has great food!
